Artist’s Description: I lived in Tokyo for one summer during college and worked for the Tokyo American Embassy with children. I wandered during my free time, took photos and randomly got on subways without knowing where I was going. My camera at the
time was 35mm, so developing 20 rolls of film upon my return to the states was
a treat. It was exciting to see what I had captured although generally the reunion with
images brought a mix of feelings. I felt thankful to have seen treasures, then felt disappointment to discover that I had not captured everything I had seen with
my eyes.
