What an absolute delight and honor it was to have famous the author Chellie Campbell visit me at my opening reception at Malibleu Gallery! I met Chellie through magical serendipity a few years ago. In 2010, I was gifted a book written by Chellie Campbell from my chiropractor when I was going through a rough time. Zero to Zillionaire made me laugh, inspired me, kicked my butt into thinking differently in a humorous way and was a life-line to me on a daily basis as I allowed the concepts in the book to shift the way I thought about myself and the world around me. I knew that Chellie lived in LA, but didn’t reach out to find her. People change our lives on a daily basis and often never know. She was a celebrity in my mind and heart. Then one day by chance I joined a networking group and found out at my second meeting that Chellie was not only in the group, but in the room. I immediately ran to the restroom to cry. I felt like her book helped save my life because it set me on a new path of possibilities…and there she was in the same room with me. I felt so much gratitude for the chance to thank her and let her know how much I appreciated who she was being in the world. I shared my story when it was time to give shouts out to other members. I couldn’t help but tear up and still do when I think of the serendipity. After our meeting she called me on the phone and we have stayed in touch….and now she showed up in her famous golden shoes at my art opening years since her book came into my world. Thank you Chellie–you are very loved.
