Artist’s Description: Sometimes people ask me why the paintings I make are both inspired by sketches and photographs. This painting is a perfect example of a photo that I took while crossing the street. Generally setting up painting supplies in the middle of a busy intersection is not the safest choice, and this was the view that I wanted. This area is one of my favorite parts of downtown Los Angeles and the area has inspired many paintings in the past.
