Artist’s Description: Amongst the bustling pedestrians on my first trip to Hong Kong, I found a universal message in a sea of colorful signs to which I was foreign. The couple on the corner held hands which immediately connected me to their story. The man carried a red shopping bag which evoked a sense of nostalgia in me for recent times spent in southern China, since it was most common for plastic shopping bags to be red verses the white ones we have in the US.
