Artist’s Description: As I sketched the inspiration for this painting on paper downtown Los Angeles, I thought about how I wanted to make a film about my process of making art. I just didn’t know how. Within 20 minutes a man I’d never seen before walked up to me carrying a camera on his shoulder and asked if he could make a video of me sketching for his Vimeo channel. Kevin Lynn of KLL Video Productions had a 2 minute video edited and on-line by the end of the evening. That event of synchronicity led to us collaborating on a 3 minute video that documented the process of creating this larger painting from start to finish. I also made a new friend.
