Glimpses from the process in Vernazza:
Sketching in Cinque Terre for days proceeded the making of this large scale commission when I returned last October.
and of coarse there were boats…
and stunning views
and side trips with painting in Porto Venere and Manarola and visits to Camogli, Rapallo, Portofino, Santa Margarita and Rio Maggiore (if you are interested in a commissions of any of these locations).
Visions of Vernazza
I’m not sure I have words yet for this painting…The painting took about 5.5 months…and still I’m at a loss of words…So instead I will just share photos.

I used the tip of a nail to paint the windows in the tiny far off buildings.
